2 cups strawberries (frozen if necessary)
1 cup eau-de-vie frasises
3 bottles of champagne
whole, fresh strawberries for decoration
Slice the strawberries in half.Put in a bowl..
Over them pour the eau-de-vie-de frasises (or if they are not available
any while brandy like kirsch,framboise or william) Steep for one hour.
Put a block of ice or several trays of cubes,in a punch bowl. Strain the strawberries .
out of the brandy. Pour the liquid and the champagne over the ice.Stir very gently.
Add whole fresh strawberries to float on top.(Steeped ones tend not to look nice.
but they taste wonderful.Eat them later with cream.)
For about 20 people.Serve in a white wine glass.
